Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) and European Portuguese (pt-PT) differ in spelling, vocabulary, grammar and forms of address. Brazilians use 'você' and the gerund ('estou fazendo'), for example, where Portugal often uses 'tu' and a different construction, and everyday words such as 'trem' versus 'comboio' differ completely.
