About Ecrivus — translation agency since 2006

Since 2006, Ecrivus International has provided professional translation and interpreting services in 225+ languages from our Maastricht headquarters to clients in the UK, across Europe and internationally.

What started as a small translation office in Maastricht has grown into an international language services provider with a global network of representatives and linguists. Our headquarters remains in Maastricht. Over the years we have broadened our offering from sworn translations into interpreting, subtitling, content creation and AI-assisted translation workflows. Every client is assigned a dedicated project manager who knows the context of your organisation.

Who works for you?

Every project gets a fixed project manager plus a subject specialist per language pair. Linguists work only in the domain they trained in: legal, medical, technical or commercial communication.

Linguists are not picked per project on hourly rate but on subject area and language pair. Same for interpreters: a conference interpreter in French is not booked as a court interpreter in Polish. A little more planning work, translations that hold up on terminology and register.

Sworn via NRPSI-registered or sworn linguists

For official translations destined for UK courts, the Home Office or international authorities, we work via NRPSI-registered (National Register of Public Service Interpreters) or sworn linguists registered with the relevant national bodies, including Hague Apostille Convention 1961 procedures where required.

Subject specialists per domain

For officially recognised translations we work with linguists qualified for the target jurisdiction. For non-sworn work we match you with a translator who has the relevant subject expertise, so legal, medical or technical terminology reads correctly.
