What data do we collect?
We process data you actively provide (name, email address, phone number, company name, message content, documents for translation) and standard server data your browser sends automatically (such as IP address and browser type). We do not process special categories of personal data unless strictly necessary for the assignment.
Purposes and legal bases
We process your data for: fulfilling the translation assignment (performance of a contract), customer communication and quote processing (legitimate interest / performance of a contract), invoicing and accounting (legal obligation).
Retention periods
We retain customer and project data for 7 years after the assignment closes (statutory retention requirement). Contact form data is deleted after 2 years unless a business relationship has been established.
Sharing with third parties
We only share your data with third parties necessary for service delivery (translators bound by confidentiality, payment providers, hosting partners) and with authorities when legally required. We never sell your data. For transfers outside the EEA we put appropriate safeguards in place (standard contractual clauses).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Send your request to info@ecrivus.com. We respond within 30 days. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: HTTPS/TLS encryption, access restrictions on a need-to-know basis, regular backups, and confidentiality agreements for staff and translators.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy. The current version is always available on our website. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the site.
